Designed by British artist Stanley F. Turner, the program cover from 1927 celebrates two events: the 60th anniversary of Canadian Confederation and the completion of the Princes’ Gates. Hailed as the greatest annual exhibition anywhere in the world, by 1927 the CNE began to highlight the industrial, commercial, and artistic lives of Canadians in addition to continuing to promote its agricultural roots.
